When God was not There

 

2012: suddenly, I felt that I had to go to Auschwitz. I immediately booked a flight and left for Krakow on a frosty February morning. I already had in mind “how” I would tell what I would see. Of course “those things” you’ve seen them many times, you’ve read them, you’ve heard too much about them … But if you don’t go there in person, you will never realize what really happened in those places and at that time . Above all, you will never reflect enough on why? Hannah Arendt gave me a minimum of response, reading her book “The Banality of Evil”.
Indeed, the Absolute Evil potential is within each of us.

My journey/pilgrimage also continued in the two following years in Dachau and Sachsenhausen. Here is a short selection of those three years.
